I worked with Russell on Marlowe Run, an app on the Cardano blockchain, in which users can run everyday financial contracts. While much of the Marlowe project has been pushed by technology, Marlowe Run was designed in a user-centred way, with Russell leading that work. He contributed user research and user experience design (UX), as well as turning that into an elegant and uncluttered user interface (UI) for implementation by the tech team.

It was a revelation for me to see work done in this way, and I am certain that the quality of the result is due to Russell's intelligence and wide skill set. He was able to work with the tech team to quickly understand what our system was intended to do, and led us through wire-framing and detailed design in a good-humoured and productive way. He was also quick to pick up on feedback from others in the team, and to frame his feedback to us in ways that we could clearly take on board.
